This application claims the benefit under 35 USC 119 (a) of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2025-0032003 filed on Mar. 12, 2025, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference for all purposes.
The present disclosure relates to an imaging lens system capable of being thinned.
A portable electronic device may include a camera module for capturing still images or recording moving images. For example, the camera module may be mounted in a mobile phone, a laptop computer, a game machine, or the like. The portable electronic device may be generally manufactured in a thin or compact form to improve portability for a user. However, the camera module including a plurality of lenses is difficult to be thinned due to convex or concave shapes of the lenses. In addition, the camera module including the lenses having convex and concave shapes inevitably causes chromatic aberration due to the lens shapes, making aberration correction difficult.

300 300 300 310 320 330 340 350 An imaging lens systemmay include a lens group. For example, the imaging lens systemmay include one lens group disposed between an object and an image plane IP. The lens group may include at least one lens. For example, the lens group of the imaging lens systemmay include a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, and a fifth lens.
310 350 310 320 330 340 350 Each of the first lensto the fifth lensmay have predetermined refractive power. For example, the first lensmay have positive refractive power, the second lensmay have negative refractive power, the third lensmay have positive refractive power, the fourth lensmay have positive refractive power, and the fifth lensmay have positive refractive power.
320 330 350 320 330 350 Each of the second lens, the third lens, and the fifth lensmay have one surface in a convex or concave shape. For example, the second lensmay have a concave object-side surface and a convex image-side surface, the third lensmay have a convex object-side surface and a concave image-side surface, and the fifth lensmay have a concave object-side surface and a convex image-side surface.
300 300 310 340 310 340 The imaging lens systemmay include at least one metalens. For example, in the imaging lens systemaccording to this example embodiment, the first lensand the fourth lensmay be metalenses. The object-side surfaces and image-side surfaces of the first lensand the fourth lensthat are metalenses may be substantially planar.
310 340 310 340 310 340 7 9 FIGS.to 7 9 FIGS.to Each of the metalensesandmay have a unique form. For example, as illustrated in, each of the metalensesandmay be formed in a quadrangular shape, a rectangular shape, or a circular shape. However, the metalensesandare not limited to the forms illustrated in.
310 340 310 340 12 14 16 18 12 14 16 18 12 14 16 18 12 16 14 18 Each of the metalensesandmay be partitioned into a plurality of regions. For example, each of the metalensesandmay include a first regionof a blue wavelength, a second regionof a green wavelength, a third regionof a red wavelength, and a fourth regionof a green wavelength. The first regionof a blue wavelength, the second regionof a green wavelength, the third regionof a red wavelength, and the fourth regionof a green wavelength may be disposed in a predetermined form. For example, the first regionof a blue wavelength, the second regionof a green wavelength, the third regionof a red wavelength, and the fourth regionof a green wavelength may be sequentially formed about the optical axis in the clockwise direction or the counterclockwise direction. In another example, the first regionof a blue wavelength may be disposed to be symmetrical to the third regionof a red wavelength about the optical axis, and the second regionof a green wavelength may be disposed to be symmetrical to the fourth regionof a green wavelength about the optical axis.
300 350 900 The imaging lens systemmay include a filter IF and an image plane IP. The filter IF may be disposed between the fifth lensand the image plane IP. The image plane IP may be formed on an image sensor.
900 310 340 900 900 910 920 930 940 910 920 930 940 910 920 930 940 910 930 920 940 10 FIG. The image sensoraccording to this example embodiment may have features similar to those of the metalensesand. For example, as illustrated in, the image sensormay be partitioned into a plurality of regions. In a specific example, the image sensormay include a first regionof a blue wavelength, a second regionof a green wavelength, a third regionof a red wavelength, and a fourth regionof a green wavelength. The first regionof a blue wavelength, the second regionof a green wavelength, the third regionof a red wavelength, and the fourth regionof a green wavelength may be disposed in a predetermined form. For example, the first regionof a blue wavelength, the second regionof a green wavelength, the third regionof a red wavelength, and the fourth regionof a green wavelength may be sequentially formed about the optical axis along the clockwise direction or the counterclockwise direction. In another example, the first regionof a blue wavelength may be disposed to be symmetrical to the third regionof a red wavelength about the optical axis, and the second regionof a green wavelength may be disposed to be symmetrical to the fourth regionof a green wavelength about the optical axis.
910 920 930 940 900 12 18 320 240 250 910 900 12 310 340 920 940 900 14 18 310 340 930 900 16 310 340 The first regionof a blue wavelength, the second regionof a green wavelength, the third regionof a red wavelength, and the fourth regionof a green wavelength of the image sensormay independently converge light emitted from the first regionto the fourth regionof the metalenses,, and. For example, the first regionof the image sensorcorresponding to a blue wavelength may image light refracted by the first regionsof the metalensesand, the second regionand the fourth regionof the image sensorcorresponding to a green wavelength may image light refracted by the second regionsand the fourth regionsof the metalensesand, and the third regionof the image sensorcorresponding to a red wavelength may image light refracted by the third regionsof the metalensesand.
300 310 340 300 310 340 300 The imaging lens systemconfigured as described above may independently converge light of a blue wavelength, a green wavelength, and a red wavelength through at least one of the metalensesandto implement a clear image. In addition, the imaging lens systemaccording to this example embodiment includes the thin metalensesand, thereby significantly reducing a size of the imaging lens system.
