A method of providing a graphical user interface (GUI) in a poetry generation system including displaying a work space, receiving a user input to the word space and linking the user input to a plurality of poet assistant windows. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 wherein The work space may be derived from executing a word processing program. The user input may be a word. The poet assistant's windows may include a combination of a next word window, a finish line window, a finish poem window, a rhyme word window and an alliterative window. Each of the poet's assistant windows may include a poet personality.

A graphical user interface for a poetry generation system comprises: a poet assistant dialogue window that allows a user to select a plurality of poet assistant windows; wherein the graphical user interface is superimposed on a workspace that is provided from a word processing program, the graphical user interface dialogue box to provide poem generation parameters allows setting of an overall weight for an author, a weight of ngram original poet components, and exponents of ngram original poet components.

The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the poet assistant dialog box includes controls to chose next word display that displays a next word after the user types a word in the word processing program, a finish line display that shows a completed line after the user types a word in the word processing program, or finish poem displays a completed poem after the user types a word in the word processing program.

The graphical user interface of claim 1 further comprising: a plurality of poet assistant windows each of the poet assistant windows a control to launch an analyze author dialogue window with each poet assistant window including controls to allow a user to select author analysis models to be included in a poet personality represented by the poet assistant window.
4. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the graphical user interface dialogue box includes a link to link to a second graphical user interface dialogue box to provide poem generation parameters for another author analysis model.
5. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the graphical user interface dialogue box to provide poem generation parameters allows setting of a probability of using the rhythm/rhyme structures for the author.
6. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the poet assistant windows display a word that is outputted in response to a user highlighting words generated by the user in the workspace.
7. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the plurality of poet assistant's windows comprise: a next word window that shows a next word after the user types a word in the workspace.
8. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the plurality of poet assistant's windows comprise: a finish line window that shows a completed line after the user types a word in the workspace.
9. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the plurality of poet assistant's windows comprise: a finish poem window that shows a complete poem after the user types a word in the workspace.
10. The graphical user interface of claim 1 wherein the plurality of poet assistant's windows comprise: a rhyme word window that displays a list of words that rhyme with a word found in any author analysis models.

A graphical user interface for a poetry generation system comprises: a poet assistant dialogue window that allows a user to select a plurality of poet assistant windows; wherein the graphical user interface is superimposed on a workspace that is provided from a word processing program, the graphical user interface dialogue box to provide poem generation parameters allows setting of a probability of using the rhythm/rhyme structures for an author; wherein the graphical user interface dialogue box to provide poem generation parameters allows setting of an overall weight for the author, a weight of ngram original poet components, and exponents of ngram original poet components.
