Technical Abstract

A method of conducting a wagering game according to the rules of a base game includes defining a finite set of game indicia. The player plays multiple sequential game hand by placing a wager, receiving game indicia from the finite set cumulatively excluding any game indicia previously dealt, playing the game hand to completion, collecting the game indicia from the player and excluding the dealt game indicia from further play, and displaying at least the excluded game indicia or any winning combinations precluded by the excluded game indicia. The game hands continue in sequence until a restoration event, which may include a manually triggered restoration or an automatic restoration event, that restores the excluded game indicia. The invention also includes a method for conducting multiple game hands dealt simultaneously from a finite set continuously depleted of dealt game indicia.

1. A method for conducting a wagering game for a player in accordance with the rules of a base game defining a winning hand, comprising: defining a finite set of game indicia; conducting a game hand for said player comprising: (a) receiving a wager from said player; (b) dealing game indicia to said player from said finite set cumulatively excluding all game indicia dealt in previous game hands, if any; (c) conducting said game hand for said player to completion according to said base game and resolving said wager based at least in part on whether said game hand forms a winning hand; (d) collecting all dealt game indicia from said player and excluding collected game indicia accumulated with all game indicia dealt in previous game hands, if any, from play in a subsequent game hand; and (e) displaying at least one of: the inventory of said game indicia from said finite set cumulatively excluding all game indicia dealt in previous game hands or winning hands eliminated as a result of said excluded game indicia; conducting at least one additional sequential game hand of steps (a)-(e) using said finite set cumulatively excluding dealt game indicia until a restoration event, said restoration event including at least a manual restoration event; and upon a restoration event, restoring excluded game indicia to said finite set.

2

2. The method of claim 1 wherein said manual restoration event comprises said player triggering a restoration.

3

3. The method of claim 1 wherein said restoration event includes a manual restoration event or an automatic restoration event, whichever occurs first.

4

4. The method of claim 3 wherein said automatic restoration event comprises at least one of: conducting a predetermined quantity of game hands or dealing a predetermined quantity of said game indicia.

5

5. The method of claim 1 further comprising: defining a plurality of wager denominations; and separately tracking a respective game hand history for play at each wager denomination.

6

6. The method of claim 1 wherein said wager is placed in integer multiples of a wager denomination, said method further comprising: defining a plurality of wager denominations; and wherein said player is restricted from placing a wager of different wager denomination in said additional sequential game hands until said restoration event.

7

7. The method of claim 1 further comprising defining wager limits wherein said player is restricted from placing a greater wager within said wager limits in said additional sequential game hands until said restoration event.

8

8. The method of claim 1 wherein said step of playing said game hand to completion includes dealing additional game indicia to said game hand.

9

9. The method of claim 1 wherein said step of playing said game hand to completion includes said player discarding and replacing game indicia.

10

10. The method of claim 1 wherein said method is conducted for a plurality of players wherein only one player is eligible to trigger a manual restoration event on any game hand.

11

11. A method for conducting a wagering game for a player in accordance with the rules of a base game defining a winning hand, comprising: defining a finite set of game indicia and ordering said finite set; conducting a game hand for said player comprising: (a) receiving a wager from said player; (b) dealing game indicia in order to said player from said finite set cumulatively excluding all game indicia dealt in previous game hands, if any; (c) conducting said game hand for said player to completion according to said base game and resolving said wager based at least in part on whether said game hand forms a winning hand; (d) collecting all dealt game indicia from said player and excluding collected game indicia accumulated with all game indicia dealt in previous game hands, if any, from play in a subsequent game hand; and (e) displaying at least one of: the inventory of said game indicia from said finite set cumulatively excluding all game indicia dealt in previous game hands or winning hands eliminated as a result of said excluded game indicia; conducting at least one additional sequential game hand of steps (a)-(e) using said finite set cumulatively excluding dealt game indicia until a restoration event comprising a manual restoration event or an automatic restoration event, whichever occurs first; and upon a restoration event, restoring excluded game indicia to said finite set and reordering said finite set.

12

12. The method of claim 11 wherein said manual restoration event comprises said player triggering a restoration.

13

13. The method of claim 11 wherein said automatic restoration event comprises at least one of: conducting a predetermined quantity of game hands or dealing a predetermined quantity of said game indicia.

14

14. The method of claim 11 further comprising: defining a plurality of wager denominations; and separately tracking a respective game hand history for play at each wager denomination.

15

15. The method of claim 11 wherein said wager is placed in integer multiples of a wager denomination, said method further comprising: defining a plurality of wager denominations; and wherein said player is restricted from placing a wager of different wager denomination in said additional sequential game bands until said restoration event.

16

16. The method of claim 11 further comprising defining wager limits wherein said player is restricted from placing a greater wager within said wager limits in said additional sequential game hands until said restoration event.

17

17. The method of claim 11 wherein said step of playing said game hand to completion includes dealing additional game indicia to said game hand.

18

18. The method of claim 11 wherein said step of playing said game hand to completion includes said player discarding and replacing game indicia.

19

19. The method of claim 11 wherein said method is conducted for a plurality of players wherein only one player is eligible to trigger a manual restoration event on any game hand.

20

20. The method of claim 11 wherein said method includes calculating and selling an automatic restoration event based on at least the quantity of game indicia in said finite set.

21

21. A method for conducting a wagering game for a player in accordance with the rules of a base game defining a winning hand, comprising: defining a finite set of game indicia and ordering said finite set; conducting a plurality of simultaneous game hands for said player comprising: (a) receiving a wager for each game hand from said player; (b) dealing game indicia to said plurality of game hands from said finite set cumulatively excluding all game indicia previously dealt; (c) conducting each said game hand for said player to completion according to said base game and determining whether said game hand forms a winning hand; (d) after each game hand is completed, excluding dealt game indicia accumulated with all game indicia previously dealt from play in another game hand; and (e) after each game hand is completed, displaying at least one of: the inventory of said game indicia from said finite set cumulatively excluding all game indicia previously dealt or winning hands eliminated as a result of said excluded game indicia; and after said plurality of simultaneous hands have all been completed, resolving said wager and restoring excluded game indicia to said finite set.

22

22. The method of claim 21 further comprising said player selecting the order in which to complete said simultaneously dealt game hands.

23

23. The method of claim 21 wherein said step of playing each game hand to completion includes dealing additional game indicia to a game hand.

24

24. The method of claim 21 wherein said step of playing each game hand to completion includes said player discarding and replacing game indicia.

25

25. The method of claim 21 wherein said method includes calculating and setting an automatic restoration event based on at least the quantity of game indicia in said finite set.
