An identification information creation apparatus and method capable of improving reliability in an identification process. A prescribed number or fewer isolated pixels are eliminated as condition noises from a binarized image created from images obtained by imaging blood vessels unique to a body, and identification information is created based on the blood vessels of the resultant noise-free binarized image. This can reduce a possibility of creating the identification information with the condition noises as a part of the blood vessels, thus making it possible to prevent the identification information from deteriorating due to different imaging conditions and physiologic change of imaging target and thus improving reliability in the identification process.
Legal claims defining the scope of protection, as filed with the USPTO.

2. The information creation apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the elimination unit is configured to sequentially extract a search image from the composed binarized image and to eliminate the isolated pixels existing inside outer pixels of the search image extracted.
3. The information creation apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the creation unit is configured to create the identification information based on the blood vessels of the composed binarized image subjected to the elimination of the elimination unit only when the number of the isolated pixels eliminated is determined to be the prescribed threshold value or lower.
4. An information creation method for creating information on a body, comprising: capturing, by a solid imaging element, a plurality of blood vessel images of a same image type based on near-infrared light received from the body; creating a plurality of binarized images from the plurality of blood vessel images sequentially received from the solid imaging element; sequentially performing an averaging process on the plurality of binarized images to create a composed binarized image; eliminating isolated pixels from the composed binarized image created; and creating identification information based on the blood vessels of the composed binarized image subjected to the eliminating step, wherein in the eliminating step, a prescribed number or fewer isolated pixels are eliminated, whether a number of the isolated pixels eliminated is a prescribed threshold value or lower is determined, and when the number of the isolated pixels eliminated is determined to be the prescribed threshold value or lower, the composed binarized image subjected to the elimination is identified as being usable for creating the information on the body; and in the creating the identification information step, the identification information is created based on the blood vessels of the composed binarized image identified in the eliminating step.
5. The information creation method according to claim 4 , wherein, in the eliminating step, a search image is sequentially extracted from the composed binarized image and the isolated pixels existing inside outer pixels of the search image extracted are eliminated.
6. The information creation method according to claim 4 , wherein, in the creating the identification information step, the identification information based on the blood vessels of the composed binarized image subjected to the eliminating step is created only when the number of the isolated pixels eliminated is determined to be the prescribed threshold value or lower.
