Claim 1: . A new and distinct cultivar ofplant named ‘SP2568’ as herein illustrated and described.

Detailed Description

Complete technical specification and implementation details from the patent document.

Latin name of the genus and species:

Cultivar denomination: ‘SP2568’.

The newcultivar is the result of a naturally occurring whole plant mutation of an unnamed, unpatented. No stimulus or product was applied to the parent plant to induce the natural mutation resulting in the claimed plant.‘SP2568’ was found and selected by the inventor in a nursery in Puli Township, Nantou County, Taiwan in September of 2018.

Asexual reproduction of the new cultivar has been performed by both vegetative cuttings and tissue culture. Asexual reproduction was first performed at the same nursery in Puli Township, Nantou County, Taiwan in September of 2019. This propagation and subsequent tissue culture propagation, have shown that the unique features of this cultivar are stable and reproduced true to type in multiple successive generations.

The cultivar ‘SP2568’ has not been observed under all possible environmental conditions. The phenotype may vary somewhat with variations in environment such as temperature, day length, and light intensity, without, however, any variance in genotype.

The following traits have been repeatedly observed and are determined to be the unique characteristics of ‘SP2568’ These characteristics in combination distinguish ‘SP2568’ as a new and distinctcultivar:

Plants of the new cultivar‘SP2568’ are similar to plants of the parent in most horticultural characteristics; however, plants of the new cultivar ‘SP2568’ differ in the following:

Plants of the new cultivar ‘SP2568’ are comparable to the commercial variety‘City of Angels’, unpatented. The twovarieties are similar in most horticultural characteristics, however, the new cultivar ‘SP2568’ differs in the following:

Plants of the new cultivar ‘SP2568’ are comparable to the commercial variety‘Domino’, U.S. Plant Pat. No. 9,944. The twovarieties are similar in most horticultural characteristics, however, the new cultivar ‘SP2568’ differs in the following:

In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart 6Edition 2015 except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used. The following observations and measurements describe ‘SP2568’ plants grown in a greenhouse in Vista, CA. The growing temperature ranged from approximately 20° C. to 25° C. during the day and from approximately 18° C. to 20° C. during the night. General light conditions are normal sunlight and numerical values represent averages of typical plant types.

Number of leaves per plant: Approximately 50 to 70.
